Hopi History

What we remember as human history has all occured during the era of the fourth world. The first world was destroyed by fire, the second by a polar shift, and the third culminated in a global civilisation, which was finally destroyed in a great flood.

The survivors migrated east and west. Those who travelled East became the Sumerians, Egyptians, Tibetans and Celts, and their euro-asiatic descendants. Their teachings all remember the flood. Amongst them were the Dragon Clans.

With prayer and sacred dance, the Hopi continue to grow corn without irrigation on the high desert plains of Arizona. They remember the great migration, and the flying machines of the Bow clans, that led to an era of permament war, and brought an end to the third world. Their sacred stories remember the time when our common ancestors dwelled inside the Earth after the destruction of the second world. They also remember fragments of the second and the first world.

The prophecy tells of the purification to come. The steps towards the fulfilment of the prophecy were many and detailed. When Hydrogen bombs exploded over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Hopi elders recognised the gourd of ashes foretold by their ancestors.

The kachina dances always involved the whole community. Due to the pressures of modern life, many Hopi have now left the Mesas to work in the towns and cities, and the sacred dances are no longer attended by all. When the kachinas (nature spirits) no longer come to the kivas, the final dancer will remove his mask. Then the time for the purification will have arrived.

If the purification comes from the West, no stone will be unturned. The puification from the East will provide a chance to fulfil the divine plan, to establish a permanent state of peace on Earth. The Dragon Clan wisdom is needed now.
